About my order.

How long will my order take?

It depends on what your order contains.

Many of our furniture pieces are hand-made, small batch or made-to-order pieces and can take between 3-7 working days to build, depending on the complexity of the product. We then have to apply the wood finish and leave to dry. Once dry, we can then pack and dispatch your order.

Stocked items and most soft furnishings items are dispatched much more quickly and usually within a day or two. The delivery time will depend on what delivery service you choose. Please see our Shipping and Delivery Policy for more information on shipping.

Orders containing multiple items with different lead times will be dispatched together to save excess shipping fees and delivery journeys.

How do I check the progress of my order?

We aim to always keep you in the loop when it comes to the status of your order.

We'll always let you know that we've received your order and when it's about to be dispatched.

Can I return my order?

We accept returns on orders placed within 14 days of the return request.

All return request products must be in their original, unopened packaging. The costs for returning the items will be the responsibility of the customer. If accepted, refunds will be made to the original method of payment.

Why choose solid wood?

We use solid timbers because our motto is "Re-use over Re-buy".

Our furniture is made using traditional joinery techniques combined with modern hand tools and machinery. Our furniture is built to last in the hopes that when your child has outgrown it, you can pass it onto family or a friend or donate it to someone who many be able to re-use it.

Do you supply fixings with your shelves?

Where stated in the product description, we supply high quality fixings with our shelves and other wall hanging furniture.

The fixings we supply are high quality and should be used as per the supplied instructions. If you're unsure about your wall construction or how to fit your shelf or other furniture safely, you should consult a qualified professional for assistance.

How do you test the quality of your fabrics?

When it comes to quality testing, we use one of the most prominent consumer product testing laboratories not just in the UK or even Europe, but the world.

The majority of our fabrics follow the same rigorous testing with colour fastness and abrasion testing being important for home textiles in daily use. For example, a daily used fabric such as the one used in our bedding and bed sheets can be rubbed over 20,000 times before the fibres start to break down. Some of our other fabrics can even reach 30,000 rubs before signs of wear.

How do you package your products?

When we started Nestie, we decided only to use 100% recyclable packaging and in this sense, nothing has changed.

Every piece of packaging that will arrive at your door will be fully recyclable. Some of which will have even been recycled previously and we're working on making more and more of our packaging from already recycled materials.

In addition to this, we hope that where possible, our customers will re-use the packaging we supply the next time they need a sturdy parcel or mailer box.

It's important to note, that some of the materials that you'll receive with your order, such as the branded ribbons that come with our Nestie Muslin Blankets are not meant for recycling, but to be used to keep your product in good shape (or even just to look good...) when not in use.

Do you ship outside of the UK?

At the moment, we only ship within the UK. Expanding into the EU and beyond is something that we're exited to look at in the future.

Can I stock Nestie products in my shop?

Building professional relationships is very important to us. We're happy to work with e-commerce stores as well as boutique bricks and mortar shops that share the same sort of ethos as ourselves.
